Firstly, congratulations on your engagement! If you have ventured onto the next exciting step of planning your wedding, then welcome to a world of possibility to make your day as perfect as you could ever imagine.
Are you feeling excited about the stationery options for your wedding yet? If you’re a little bamboozled about when you should be sending things, then this will hopefully help break down the average stationery timeline.
If you’re anything like me then using lists to check off the important tasks is essential to my sanity when planning. This timeline is small and easy to follow so you can pop the dates (or a copy of the image) into your wedding planner for quick reference and tick things off when they’re done (the best feeling in my opinion!).
At the end of the day, you have to do what’s right for you. This is your special day and it will be unique to you, so keep in my mind that these guidelines are of course adaptable. If you’re planning a destination wedding, your guests will need to know the details in advance so that they can get booking flights etc. as well as finding the perfect shoes! On the flip side if you’re planning a small family gathering, then you can likely skip a lot of these steps, and even hand deliver invitations a few weeks before. The key is to make sure that you and your guests have ample time to prepare.
